Life on the team
The Customer Executive is a critical new role which sits within the Transition and Transformation (T&T) team, a core part of Group Managed Services (GMS). As a Customer Executive you will be accountable for the successful outcome and delivery of our most complex / most strategic Managed Services transitions and transformation programmes (to agreed quality, time, and budget constraints).
What you’ll do
  • PreSales control, design and commercial management, coordination for general Pre-Sales approvals.
  • Review and sign-off on scope of transition and transformation and end to end detailed T&T programme plan, ensuring that all relevant commitments from Operations (incl. GIS) on technical solution dependencies (including detailed validation of solution) and delivery dates are in place prior to AtS & AtC submission
  • Securing resources and expertise from the operations and 3rd parties where necessary to ensure that the T&T can be delivered to an agreed cost and timeline to enable the contracted service outcomes to be delivered
  • Agree proposed governance structure (internal and external) prior to AtS & AtC
  • Build, review, negotiation and sign-off on transition budget prior to AtS & AtC, including contingency and risk budgeReview and sign-off on risk and dependency profile.
  • Compliance - Ensuring the transition programme follows internal CC DLF Framework, T&T methodology and policies where necessary and quality assuring all artefacts for Checkpoint approvals (1-7)
  • Defining and following agreed customer and internal CC governance and reporting requirements (i.e. primary client interface during Service Take-on phase)
  • Ensuring that T&T is adequately resourced during Take-on phase
  • Commercial - Managing the T&T budget, including contingency and risk budget in conjunction with the T&T Programme Manager. Commercials - Manage the delegated T&T P&L with management controls in place
  • Change / Claim management - Management of change controls which covers customer obligations/dependencies and changes in scope
  • Determining and actively managing strategic risks to the T&T programme.
  • Acting as the escalation point for the T&T Programme Manager and for the customer
  • Communication - Providing clear leadership to team, briefing senior execs internally on progress and flagging risks and issues appropriately
  • Managing the T&T Programme Manager's performance of delegated responsibility
  • Assisting the T&T Programme Manager in the resolution of issues and problems, within time
  • Accountable that lessons learned are applied (i.e. formally logged and assigned owner to progress)
What you’ll need
  • 20+ years experience of proactively leading teams to ensure that gaps in the contracted solution are resolved to enable contractual service outcomes. Accountability for leading CC teams to implement changes which add value to both CC and the customer through the change control process. Challenging the design solution architects and operational teams.
  • Proven experience of being an expert in Risk Management in T&T projects. They will always;
  • Agree what risks can be carried by the project and which ones need to be prioritised for mitigation or elimination.
  • Challenge the risk assessment and the mitigation plan proposed.
  • Be prepared to take a strategic (long term) view of risks and issues in terms of the impact to overall duration of the services contract as well as the impact on transition.
  • Customer Executives will adopt a relentless, entrepreneurial approach to new opportunities over the life-time of the T&T Project, showing absolute commitment to the importance of new opportunities, and the benefits to our customers and CC.
  • Role models Senior Leader political judgement and acumen, combined with authentic personal gravitas.
  • Driving an active senior CC network, persuasively influencing of all key stakeholders; from Exec level to the front line of CC operational delivery.
  • Collaboratively leading senior teams through large and complex T&T, comfortable with ambiguity, whilst retaining focus on key T&T deliverables.
  • Leads by example by demanding personal accountability and ownership be taken by all.
