Job Description

Responsibilities Mallcom India Limited is seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager – Operations to lead and oversee the entire operations of our safety shoes manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, quality assurance, supply chain coordination, cost control, and compliance with industry and safety standards. This role requires a deep understanding of footwear manufacturing processes, lean practices, and people leadership. Lead end-to-end plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, procurement, stores, and dispatch. Optimize operational performance with a focus on productivity, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. Develop and execute production plans in alignment with sales forecasts and inventory goals. Monitor daily output, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure capacity utilization. Ensure production targets are met with optimum efficiency and minimal downtime. Enforce strict quality control measures to meet domestic and international safety footwear standards (e.g., EN ISO, ASTM). Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with the quality team to reduce in-line and post-production defects. Ensure a safe and compliant working environment across the factory. Key Requirements: 12–18 years of experience in footwear industry (with at least 5 years in a leadership role). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Production, or related field. Proven leadership in operations, lean systems, and quality management. Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and ERP systems. Excellent communication, team management, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, tender portals, and CRM systems. Ability to handle multi-tasking, travel schedules, and work under tight deadlines. Knowledge of government procurement policies and PSU tendering norms. Travel within the specified zone for 7–12 days per month on a pre-planned/approved tour program.
