Detailed description: Mission of the Role:

This global role champions new business pursuits within the Procurement team, having deep collaboration with Product Line leadership and working across multiple procurement categories and cross-functional teams to secure new Visteon business wins. This role is responsible for driving costed Bill of Material competitiveness in the pursuit phase and successful transition to the Forward Model Program Purchasing team for flawless delivery/launch execution. You will play a strategic role with executive level engagement, driving procurement actions to deliver profitable new business wins for a given Product Line.

Key Objectives of this Role:

-Responsible for delivering strategies and competitive costed BOMs for each customer quote round that meets targeted material content / material margin, specific to one of the following global Product Lines:

o Displays

o Clusters & 2WH

o CDC, Infotainment & HPC

o Electrification

- Lead program procurement pursuit team, working across Category teams to develop the complete costed BOM for all global quotes within the Product Line

- Engage with strategic suppliers of key BOM components within the quote

- Demonstrate leadership and product knowledge depth in interactions with Category teams and key suppliers to help challenge design and costs

- Lead procurement strategies including make/buy, localization, and vertical integration to drive optimal costed BOM

- Represent Procurement in Executive Gate Reviews for quote submission approvals, presenting Procurement strategies and key attributes of the costed BOM

- Work closely with Product Line & Sales leadership to determine clear “should cost” and customer targets for the product design, ahead of the RFQ process

- Support cross-functional discussions with Product Line and Category teams to align on gaps to “should-cost” and derive aligned cBOM tasks with design and commercial teams

- Drive costed BOM quote maturity and consistency across regions and customers

- Engage Product Line on product architecture, bridging tech roadmaps and Category strategies

- Ensure Product Line “design for sourcing“ compliance, utilizing commercially/technically preferred supplier parts

Key Performance Indicators:

- Drive competitive costed BOMS with aggressive material margins on global pursuits to enable NBWs

- Maturity of costed BOM in early quote rounds

- Minimize gap between purchasing commitment and “should cost”

- Costed BOM consistency across regions and customers

- Seamless transition to execution team post customer award

Key Year One Deliverables:

- Learn Product Line architectures and strategy

- Build relationships with key supplier stakeholders associated with Product Line and Category

- Develop strategies to deliver best cost solutions for quotes

- Work with cross functional team to deliver competitive costed BOM and present in quote gate reviews

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s preferred, Electrical Engineering preferred

- 15-20 years in responsible roles within an international business environment and procurement/purchasing or engineering leadership experience

- Strong knowledge of supply base and costing of various commodities

- Ability to clearly present sourcing strategy for projects and risk assessments

- Ability to lead cross functional teams with focus and accountability

- Effective negotiation skills

- Value Chain analysis (VAVE, TQCM)

- Effective presentation skills and strong communication skills

- Ability to balance risk and achieve lowest material cost within very tight deadlines
