Job Summary
Tathastu Resorts is seeking a seasoned and visionary General Manager – Sales & Marketing to drive the strategic growth, market penetration and revenue leadership. This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing cross-functional commercial operations including B2B & B2C sales, marketing strategy, revenue optimization, brand positioning and market development.
The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of progressive experience in hospitality or resort sales, with a strong understanding of multi-channel distribution, corporate contracting, MICE and destination marketing. The role demands a leader with the ability to drive results through a mix of data-driven strategy, stakeholder relationships and cross-department collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and lead the regional commercial strategy encompassing sales, marketing, brand communications, channel development and revenue forecasting.
● Deliver sustained top-line revenue growth through targeted acquisition in corporate, leisure, FIT, MICE, OTA and B2B travel segments.
● Manage corporate negotiations, long-term contracting and rate strategy for large-volume clients and partners.
● Leverage data analytics and market intelligence to guide demand generation, market penetration and pricing optimization.
● Create and execute 360-degree marketing campaigns, including digital performance marketing, influencer collaborations and local market activations.
● Ensure the optimal use of CRM systems, lead pipelines and revenue dashboards for forecasting and ROI analysis.
● Build, train and mentor a high-performing sales and marketing team, ensuring alignment with business goals and service standards.
● Collaborate with resort operations, revenue management and corporate leadership for P&L accountability, cost control and customer satisfaction metrics.
● Represent the resort at industry events, exhibitions (e.g., SATTE, ITB), networking forums and regional tourism boards.
● Develop and maintain strategic alliances with DMCs, corporate travel desks, wedding planners and international consortia.
Preferred Profile
● 15+ years of proven experience in hospitality sales, resort marketing, or travel trade leadership, with at least 10 years in a management role.
● Expertise in handling multi-property sales portfolios, luxury resort positioning and destination marketing strategies.
● Deep understanding of MICE trends, leisure travel consumption, B2B contracting and rate parity management.
● Strong network in the Nagpur, Maharashtra and Central India region, with access to key decision-makers in corporate and travel sectors.
● Proficient in tools such as CRM, PMS,STAAH,REVENUE MANAGEMENT Google Analytics.
● Demonstrated ability to drive sales enablement, customer lifecycle management and performance-based team culture.
● Exceptional stakeholder management, presentation and negotiation skills with C-suite level clients.
● Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or Marketing (MBA preferred).
- Willingness to travel for strategic partnerships and brand visibility.
