About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Sales to lead and scale the sales operations for Boche Brahmi Tea. The GM – Sales will be responsible for driving overall revenue, building strong distributor/retail networks, implementing sales strategies, and leading a multi-level sales structure with retailer and Obopay-based reward systems.

Key Responsibilities1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Plan and implement market penetration strategies for new and existing territories.
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and consumer behaviour to shape sales plans.

2. Channel & Distribution Management

  • Build and manage a strong distributor network across assigned regions.
  • Ensure product availability, visibility, and reach through effective route planning.
  • Monitor distributor performance, secondary sales, and stock movement.

3. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the entire sales team including ASMs, Sales Officers, and field staff.
  • Set clear KPIs, review performance, and ensure high productivity.
  • Conduct regular training and field coaching.

4. Retailer & Reward System Management

  • Oversee the implementation of the retailer app and Obopay reward system.
  • Drive adoption and usage of digital reward features among retailers and sales staff.
  • Create effective incentive schemes to boost sales and engagement.

5. Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines and promotional plans.
  • Coordinate closely with production, logistics, and finance for smooth operations.
  • Track budgets, ensure cost control, and manage sales forecasting.

6. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare weekly/monthly MIS, sales dashboards, and performance reports.
  • Present insights and action plans to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
  • 8–12 years of FMCG sales experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial/head role.
  • Strong understanding of beverage/tea markets (preferred).
  • Experience managing multi-level sales systems and digital incentive platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
