Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a General Manager, Sales Force Effectiveness. The General Manager will oversee the effectiveness of the sales force, analyze customer satisfaction metrics, and strategize improvements in sales processes. Key responsibilities include managing the sales team, optimizing customer service models, ensuring sales goals are achieved, and implementing strategies to enhance team performance while aligning with the company’s goals.

📢 Executive Search: AGM / DGM / GM – Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) (Indian Pharma – Domestic Market, based at Ahmedabad)We are seeking a senior leader to shape and drive the commercial excellence of our domestic pharma business. In this role, you will own end-to-end Sales Force Effectiveness — from strategy and execution to digital transformation and long-term growth.What This Role Means — and What You Will DeliverStrategic Leadership & Commercial Impact: You will define and lead the roadmap to optimise sales-force productivity, territory architecture, incentive design and execution standards — directly influencing revenue growth and market penetration.Data-Driven Decision CPU: Leverage advanced analytics, RCPA forecasting, Rx & market data insights to shape territory prioritization, doctor/chemist segmentation, and brand‐portfolio alignment decisions.Digital & Automation Transformation Owner: Spearhead CRM/CLM/SFA automation, e-detailing, digital reporting and real-time dashboarding — transforming field-force operations into a tech-enabled, high-efficiency engine.Organizational Architect & Change Leader: Build a high-performance commercial structure — aligning Sales, Marketing, HR, IT and Digital Teams — and lead change-management, capability building and compliance culture across hierarchy.Mentor & Build Leadership Bench: Develop and nurture future sales leaders; own manpower planning, incentive governance and performance management for large-scale field force, ensuring robust succession and scalability.What We Expect from You14–25+ years of experience (depending on level: DGM → GM) in Indian pharma SFE / Sales Analytics / Leadership roles, with proven track-record in domestic pharma (chronic + acute mix preferred).Deep mastery of SFE metrics, forecasting, RCPA, digital sales tools/CRMs (e.g. VEEVA, CNEXT, Argus, in-house), and ability to architect analytics and reporting frameworks.Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation or automation projects — from requirement gathering to deployment, adoption and impact measurement.Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, stakeholder management (interaction with BU Heads / NSMs / Marketing / HR / IT), change-management and execution excellence.Educational credentials: B.Pharm / B.Sc + MBA (Marketing / Analytics / Operations).
