Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager with a strong sports background to lead and oversee all aspects of our premium sports and wellness club operations in Pune. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding leadership, operational expertise, and strategic vision to enhance member satisfaction, drive business growth, and maintain excellence across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and manage club departments including Sales, Fitness, Customer Service, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Wellness.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to SOPs with a focus on customer-centric service.
  • Drive recruitment, training, assessments, and performance appraisals through EDAP.

Club Operations

  • Oversee daily club operations, maintaining high service and facility standards.
  • Manage banquet/event bookings and dining services efficiently.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and upkeep of all club facilities.

Wellness, Yoga & Meditation

  • Supervise wellness services and staff, including yoga and meditation programs.
  • Plan and implement a dynamic wellness calendar with certified instructors.

Financial Management

  • Develop and monitor Profit & Loss plans and departmental budgets.
  • Manage billing, vendor relationships, and implement cost optimization measures.

Sales & Marketing

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase membership and service sales.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve experience, retention, and satisfaction.

Academies & Value-Added Services

  • Oversee personal training, academies, and additional service offerings ensuring safety and quality.
  • Align services with customer needs and emerging market trends.

Strategic Planning & Business Development

  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives for growth.
  • Explore partnerships, launch new services, and innovate based on customer insights.

Reporting & Evaluation

  • Generate regular operational, financial, and performance reports.
  • Track KPIs, control costs, and optimize staffing schedules.

IT & CRM Utilization

  • Ensure accurate data entry and utilization of CRM and digital systems.

Member Experience

  • Act as the clubs ambassador, fostering strong member relationships.
  • Organize monthly events and cultivate interest-based communities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10 to 15+ years of experience in club or sports management roles, preferably with a sports background.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent operational and financial acumen.
  • Strategic thinker with proven business development experience.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster a customer-focused culture.
