Job Description

Position: General Manager HR (Corporate & Plant HR) for a Manufacturing co at Chennai.

Location:

MALE CANDIDATES REQUIRED

Age: 40-45 years

CTC: Maximum Gross up to 24 LPA.

Must speak Tamil & English ( Telugu/Hindi speaking preferred )

Role Overview

General Manager HR (Corporate & Plant HR)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the

    entire gamut of HR activities

    covering Corporate, Factory, and Sales HR functions.
  • Formulate and implement

    HR policies, systems, and procedures

    in line with organizational objectives.
  • Manage

    Industrial Relations (IR)

    effectively to ensure a harmonious and productive work environment at the plants.
  • Oversee

    Legal and Statutory Compliance

    , ensuring adherence to all labour laws, factory laws, and government regulations.
  • Drive

    talent acquisition, retention, performance management

    , and

    training & development

    initiatives across levels.
  • Supervise

    contract management

    , vendor HR, and contract labour compliance activities.
  • Handle

    employee relations, grievance management

    , and disciplinary matters tactfully.
  • Manage

    administration functions

    , including facilities, security, transport, and welfare activities.
  • Ensure effective

    coordination between corporate HR and plant HR teams

    for uniform policy implementation.
  • Partner with business leaders to support manpower planning, organizational restructuring, and HR strategy execution.
  • Frequently

    travel to plants and manufacturing facilities

    to monitor and support HR & IR operations.

Key Requirements

  • Qualification:

    MBA / MSW / PG in HR or Industrial Relations.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 15 years of total HR experience, including at least 7 years at a senior level (GM / VP HR) in a

    manufacturing environment

    .
  • Strong exposure to

    Corporate HR, Factory HR, Sales HR, and Administration

    functions.
  • Proven expertise in

    Industrial Relations, Legal, Statutory Compliance, and Contract Management

    .
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across all levels.
  • STABILITY IN THE CAREER MUST

  • Language Skills:

    • Must be fluent in

      Tamil and English

      .
    • Telugu and Hindi

      fluency will be an added advantage.
  • Availability:

    Candidates with a

    shorter notice period

    preferred.
  • Mobility:

    Must be willing to

    travel frequently

    to plants and other company locations.
