Job Title: General Manager – Biscuits Plant Location: Bihar, India Industry: FMCG – Biscuits & Bakery Experience Required: 15+ years in biscuit manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role About Us: We are a leading player in the FMCG sector with a strong legacy in the food and biscuit industry. As we scale new heights, we are seeking a visionary and seasoned General Manager to lead operations at our state-of-the-art biscuits manufacturing plant in Bihar . Role Summary: As General Manager – Biscuits Plant , you will be the strategic and operational head of the facility. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure optimal production, quality, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a seasoned biscuit industry professional who understands the intricacies of biscuit production, from dough mixing to packaging, and brings proven expertise in plant leadership. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Oversee end-to-end plant operations including production, quality control, maintenance, supply chain, and EHS compliance. Production Excellence: Ensure high-quality output with efficiency, minimal waste, and adherence to product specifications. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing workforce across departments; instill a performance-driven culture. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals for growth and profitability. Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage plant budgets, optimize resource utilization, and drive cost-efficiency initiatives. Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, statutory regulations, and sustainability norms. Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing, automation, and other continuous improvement programs. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering / Food Technology / Operations Management. Experience: Minimum 15 years in the biscuit manufacturing industry , with at least 5 years in a senior plant leadership role . Deep understanding of biscuit processing technologies (rotary, wire-cut, sheeted, etc.). Strong knowledge of FSSAI regulations, HACCP, GMP, and other quality standards. Proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing units with 24x7 operations. Leadership qualities with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
