Primary Job Title: Java Full Stack Developer (Freelance / Contract)

About The Opportunity

We operate in the IT Services & Software Product Development sector, building cloud-native web applications and enterprise-grade solutions for clients across finance, health-tech, and SaaS. This fully-remote freelance role (India) is ideal for a delivery-focused Java Full Stack Developer who can own features end-to-end, ship robust code fast, and collaborate with distributed product teams.Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services in Java (Spring Boot) and expose secure, well-documented RESTful APIs for front-end consumption.
• Implement responsive front-end interfaces using React (or Angular) with TypeScript, optimizing for performance and accessibility.
• Build and integrate microservices, ensuring proper data modelling across SQL and NoSQL stores and implementing transactional and eventual-consistency patterns as required.
• Containerize applications (Docker) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment to cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Write clean, testable code with unit/integration tests, participate in code reviews, and follow Git-based workflows to maintain delivery velocity and quality.
• Collaborate with product managers and DevOps to estimate work, triage issues, and support production incidents for timely resolution.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3+ years hands-on experience in Java development (Java 8/11+) with Spring Boot and building REST APIs.
• Strong front-end experience with React.js (or Angular) and TypeScript, plus solid HTML/CSS skills.
• Practical experience with relational databases (Postgres/MySQL) and at least one NoSQL DB (MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and working remotely in Agile/Scrum teams.
  

Preferred

• Experience with microservices patterns, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
• Track record as a freelance/contract developer delivering production features, with strong communication and time-management skills.
