Fleet Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the fleet, including vehicle allocation, routing, and dispatch.
• Monitor vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and driver behavior using GPS and fleet management systems.
• Schedule and supervise preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and servicing of vehicles.
• Ensure all fleet vehicles comply with transport laws, company standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage driver assignments, rosters, and resolve issues related to performance or discipline.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle registration, insurance, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
• Prepare and manage the fleet budget, aiming to reduce operational costs while maintaining high standards.
• Coordinate with logistics, HR, and operations teams for optimal resource planning.
• Handle procurement of new vehicles, leasing, and disposal of old units as per company policy.
• Ensure all documentation, such as permits and licenses, is up to date and renewed timely.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in fleet management, preferably in shipping, logistics, or transportation sectors.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
• Valid driver's license and understanding of different vehicle categories.
