Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Finance Specialist located in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Finance Specialist will be responsible for managing financial statements, handling accounting tasks, conducting financial analyses, and preparing reports. The role involves regular communication with team members and stakeholders to ensure all financial practices align with the company's goals and regulatory standards.

Job Title: Deputy Manager – Finance

Industry: Tourism / Travel / MICEDepartment: Finance & AccountsLocation - Kolkata Salary - 28000 - 35000 PM (Based on Experience)Reporting To: Director- Ensure timely closure of monthly and yearly books of accounts.- Prepare financial statements – P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.- Monitor accounts receivable and payable with accurate tracking of client and supplier ledgers.- Handle reconciliation of bank accounts, DMC/vendor accounts, and credit cards.- Prepare annual and quarterly budgets in coordination with management.- Analyze variance between actual and budgeted figures.- Implement cost-saving measures while ensuring smooth operations.- Review costing sheets for tour packages and ensure correct profit margins.- GST filing, TDS deductions, and other statutory compliances.- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.- Maintain compliance with company law, travel industry regulations, and financial standards.- Handle payments and negotiations with DMCs, airlines, hotels, and other vendors.- Verify supplier invoices with cost sheets and ensure timely vendor payments.- Oversee client billing, follow-ups for collections, and credit control.- Develop and implement internal financial control systems and SOPs.- Authorize and verify all expenditure and disbursements.- Monitor fraud risks and ensure transparency in all financial dealings.- Support management with financial forecasts and profitability analysis.- Provide inputs for pricing strategies and business decisions.- Supervise and guide finance executives and accountants.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting. (MBA Finance preferred)- Minimum 7 - 8years of experience (Travel industry background will give extra advantage)- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting standards.- Proficiency in Tally - Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.- Advance Excel knowledge
