Finance Manager MIS

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager – MIS is responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting financial data to support strategic decision-making. The role focuses on preparing timely and accurate management reports, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and improving the overall financial reporting process through effective use of MIS tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• MIS Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports to management.

• Analyze financial performance and highlight trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data and reports.

• Develop dashboards and performance metrics for key business functions.

• Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.

• Coordinate with departments to gather budget inputs and ensure alignment with business goals.

• Monitor budget utilization and provide variance analysis with recommendations.

• Financial Planning & Control

• Support financial planning, cash flow management, and cost control initiatives.

• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.

• Data Management & System Improvements

• Maintain and enhance MIS systems and tools for better financial reporting.

• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to automate data collection and reporting processes.

• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in ERP/MIS platforms.

• Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business heads to provide financial insights for decision-making.

• Support auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.

• Prepare presentations and reports for management and board meetings.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally etc.).

• Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and presentation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Qualification & Experience:

• Education:

  CA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com or equivalent qualification.

• Experience:

  5–10 years of experience in MIS, financial analysis, or management reporting.

• Experience in a manufacturing / service / construction industry preferred.
