BIM Modeler Electrical

Key Responsibilities

1. Modelling

• Develop Electrical BIM models from

  LOD 200 to LOD 500

  for diverse projects.
• Ensure models meet

  technical specifications, budget, and schedule

  requirements.
• Prepare

  Panel Schedules, circuiting

  , and

  Revit Family creation

  (parametric & non-parametric).
• Create

  fabrication details

  and ensure model accuracy for

  prefabrication workflows

  .

2. Prefabrication Support

• Generate

  prefabrication and shop drawings

  from BIM models.
• Break down models into

  constructible assemblies or kits

  for fabrication.
• Provide

  Material Take-Offs (MTOs)

  and

  cut sheets

  for planning.
• Label and document all components for accurate assembly and delivery.
  

3. Collaboration & Coordination

• Collaborate with

  internal teams, consultants, and clients

  to ensure adherence to modelling standards.
• Coordinate electrical models with other disciplines for

  MEP integration

  .
• Participate in design and coordination meetings for project alignment.
  

4. Constructability & Documentation

• Identify constructability issues and

  raise RFIs

  during modelling stages.
• Extract accurate

  2D drawings and material quantities

  (BOQ) from 3D models.

5. Technical Proficiency

• Develop BIM models with strong technical detailing from

  LOD 300–500

  .
• Conduct

  clash detection

  and create viewpoints using

  Navisworks

  .
• Exposure to

  multidisciplinary coordination

  and

  international project standards

  is preferred.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Read and interpret

  drawings, specifications, and inputs

  accurately.
• Coordinate and manage

  scope changes

  during project execution.
• Support project planning and coordination for multiple assignments.
  
• Participate in

  client review meetings

  and present design/modeling updates.

Key Skills & Tools

• Software:

  Revit, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Fabrication CADmep, Navisworks, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, FabPro / MSuite (if applicable).
• Strong understanding of

  BIM workflows

  ,

  electrical systems

  , and

  industry standards

• Ability to work in a

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience:

  3–7 years of proven experience in Electrical BIM Modelling for international projects.

• Education:

  Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

• Personality:

  Quality-conscious, collaborative, and detail-oriented professional.
