Foreword: - We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with 10 to 15 years of expertise specializing in detailed design for Air-conditioning, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Ventilation systems across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of delivering innovative, efficient, and code-compliant mechanical designs that align with client requirements and industry standards. Job responsibilities of the role: - Design Development: Prepare comprehensive mechanical design packages including detailed calculations, equipment schedules, equipment selection, space and shaft planning in strict accordance with NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, UDCPR, and relevant IS standards. Review and provide constructive feedback on detailed design drawings and Good-for-Construction (GFC) drawings, including builders work drawings, ensuring full compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Project Documentation: Review and validate engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. Develop Bills of Quantity (BOQ), typical installation details, and technical documentation. Approve Requests for Information (RFI) and shop drawings submitted by vendors, ensuring alignment with design intent. Coordination and Collaboration: Work closely with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to seamlessly integrate mechanical systems into overall building designs. Actively participate in project meetings to provide expert technical guidance and ensure project milestones are met. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough design reviews and quality audits to uphold high standards in all deliverables. Address client feedback promptly and incorporate necessary design modifications. The candidate should have experience handling a team of Engineers and designers with technical support. 5. Should be good in client coordination, preferably from a Consultancy background. Technical Requirements: - 1. B.E/B. Tech/ - Mechanical Engineering from reputed college M. Tech from reputed college national/international (added advantage) 2. Minimum 10+ years of similar experience (preferably in Consultancy field). 3. Having exposure & expertise in handling projects like residential, commercial, Hospital villas, Hotels and others. 4. Knowledge of local codes (NBC, ASHRAE, ISHRAE, IS CODE, ETC.) 5. Working knowledge of Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and HVAC design systems with all relevant calculations & system selections like DX, VRV, and Chillers (Air-cooled and water-cooled). 6. Preparing BOQ and knowledge of AutoCAD. 7. Coordinate mechanical layout with another services layout. 8. Strong knowledge of local & IS codes with very good written and verbal communication skills in English is a must.
