CAD Modeling & Drafting Create 2D and 3D models using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, etc.). Prepare detailed engineering drawings, including tolerances, machining allowances, and surface finishes. Modify existing designs based on feedback from production or customers. 3. Technical Analysis & Validation Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and feasibility studies. Support FEA/simulation analysis for stress, deformation, and die life predictions (if applicable). Evaluate material flow, flash formation, and tool wear patterns. 4. Process Planning Support Coordinate with process engineers to define forging sequences, preform designs, and press requirements. Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documents for production. Participate in new product development (NPD) and prototype forging trials. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with production, tool room, and quality control teams to resolve design-related issues. Interact with customers for understanding requirements and clarifying design inputs. Provide support during tool manufacturing, inspection, and trial runs. 6.
