Description Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to join the India Operations Finance team. This role will have a direct impact on driving the future of Amazon’s world-class operations network. You will work with senior leadership within Operations and Finance partner the ‘Supply Chain’ team for India business. The person would play a key role in driving the ‘Capacity planning’ in IN Operations, and would work with key stakeholders to strategize, plan and execute the key initiatives. This includes, among other things, responsibility for financial metrics, reporting, forecasting and to help business in decision support through data analysis & business insight. This role will provide the candidate an opportunity to work across miles with multiple stakeholders enhancing knowledge about Amazon Operations. This candidate will get an opportunity to set up a benchmark for it’s successors for the role, given it will be instrumental in setting up all critical processes, reporting and review mechanisms. The Position Is Based In Bangalore. The Successful Candidate Will Be Strategic, Analytical And Have The Demonstrated Ability To Effectively Manage Finances Of a High-growth Business Including Performing financial reporting, analysis and financial modeling. Presenting recommendations to business leadership on strategic decisions and planned future initiatives. Facilitate financial reviews with business group and work with business leaders to ensure effective finance and cost management. Work closely with the stakeholders to drive critical goals like increase in solar energy contribution, moving to plastic free packaging, etc. Manage financial planning and analysis, forecasting of key input metrics Plan the long term topology for IN operations using insights from the analysis and financial models. Facilitate weekly/ monthly/ quarterly reviews with data analysis and follow through with leader across miles on actionable items for improving key input metrics over a period of time. Key job responsibilities Key Responsibility Areas Partner with Operations and other support teams to drive continuous improvement in financial and performance Driving the annual operational planning process Ensure timely preparation and reporting of key metrics Partner with teams across the organization to drive optimal cross functional decisions that maximize Amazon's long-term free cash flow Work on key business opportunities and drive efficiency while balancing customer promise Finance experience with heavy emphasis on analytics and ability to work along with diverse partner teams Results-oriented, energetic, dynamic individual with hands-on approach on advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture Demonstrate experience of successfully driving complex projects Demonstrate ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing operating conditions while still delivering to expectations Basic Qualifications 6+ years of related experience in finance, accounting or other related analytical experience Experience in business forecasting and spreadsheet modeling Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items; strong analytical skills Strong communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and levels of management Ability to achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing environment Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads; understanding of finance issues in an operational environment of rapid growth.
