About Us The Barefoot Hospitality & Harvest is an exciting, growing startup focused on delivering premium, high-quality fresh food products, specializing in idli/dosa specialty batters. We are dedicated to traditional recipes, modern hygiene standards, and rapid market expansion across the MMR region. Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Officer to drive sales, manage collections, and expand our market presence across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing the distributor network, ensuring timely payment collection, and developing strong relationships with retail partners in both General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels. This role is crucial for establishing our brand presence and maintaining financial discipline. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales and Target Achievement ·  Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory and product portfolio. ·  Drive primary and secondary sales by booking orders from retailers and ensuring effective stock movement from distributors. 2.  Collections and Financial Discipline·  Ensure timely and daily collection of payments from retailers and stores as per agreed terms. ·  Follow up on outstanding dues and resolve any payment-related discrepancies promptly. ·  Maintain an accurate record of all transactions and collections. 3.  Market Visibility, Inspection, and Survey·  Conduct regular store inspections to monitor product placement, shelf life (critical for perishable goods), and overall display hygiene. ·  Execute market surveys to gather competitive intelligence on pricing, new product launches, and trade scheme effectiveness. ·  Ensure optimal stock levels at retail points and distributors to avoid stockouts and minimize product spoilage/wastage. 4.  Promotional Activity and Merchandising·  Plan and execute in-store promotional activities such as sampling, demos, and trade schemes to boost consumer trial and purchase. ·  Implement merchandising standards, including appropriate shelf placement, visibility, and point-of-sale (POS) material display of the specialty batter. 5.  Channel Management (GT & MT) & Relationship·  General Trade (GT): Identify, appoint, and manage distributors/wholesalers. Directly service key retail outlets and Kirana stores. ·  Modern Trade (MT): Execute sales and merchandising initiatives within pre-identified supermarkets and chain stores. ·  Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with partners. 6.  Reporting and Analysis·  Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing sales performance, collection status (outstanding dues, actual collections), market feedback, and competitor activity. ·  Utilize sales data to suggest adjustments to routes or strategy to maximize efficiency and sales volume.
