Job Title: Sales/Sr. Sales Engineer

Location: Surat/Vapi

Job Type: Full-Time | Department: Sales


Job Overview :

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales Engineer located in Vapi/Surat.

The Sales Engineer will be primarily responsible for business development and lead generation, focusing on acquiring new customers and expanding market presence. The role involves identifying opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and driving sales growth by offering the right engineered solutions.

In addition, the Sales Engineer will provide technical support, manage customer interactions, and ensure continued engagement with both new and existing customers to achieve business targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer inquiries (via email/phone) and forward them to the respective manufacturer based on requirements.
  • Prepare and share offers/quotations with customers and manufacturers in a timely manner.
  • Conduct presentations on company profile and SSC product portfolio during customer visits to generate inquiries from new and existing customers.
  • Schedule and attend meetings at customer sites, plants, and offices as required.
  • Submit proposals/offers within deadlines and ensure regular follow-ups with customers.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers regarding customer inquiries and order status.
  • Conduct technical discussions with customers (via phone or in-person) after submission of product offers.
  • Process customer purchase orders by raising OAs and placing orders with manufacturers through the internal team.
  • Monitor e-tender portals for new tenders and analyze relevant opportunities.


Skills & Qualifications :

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
  • Experience:

    2-8 years in B2B sales, preferably in industrial or engineering sectors
  • Expertise:

    Strong understanding of industrial product sales and customer acquisition
  • Project Management:

    Ability to manage multiple accounts, sales cycles, and reporting
  • Communication & Negotiation:

    Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and deal-closing skills
  • Software Skills:

    Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
