Job Title: Factory Supervisor - Mattress Company

Location: Medchal

Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Manager

Job Summary: The Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mattress production facility, ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality mattresses. This role requires leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage a team while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards. The Factory Supervisor will work closely with production staff to meet production targets, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Oversight:
• Supervise the production team to ensure the smooth and efficient manufacturing of mattresses, meeting daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and prioritize tasks to avoid delays.
• Monitor production processes and adjust workflows as needed to improve efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure that all mattresses produced meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Implement quality control checks throughout the production process to identify and address defects early.
• Work with the quality assurance team to resolve any quality-related issues, ensuring minimal product returns or reworks.
• Team Leadership & Training:
• Lead, motivate, and develop production staff, ensuring effective communication and a collaborative working environment.
• Train new employees on safety, production processes, and quality standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and support to team members.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Regularly inspect production areas for safety hazards and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Inventory & Material Management:
• Oversee the accurate use and management of raw materials to ensure efficient production with minimal waste.
• Work closely with the inventory and supply chain teams to ensure timely replenishment of materials and minimize production delays.
• Monitor material usage and report any discrepancies or excessive waste.
• Process Improvement:
• Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
• Implement best practices and continuously seek ways to enhance production processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Maintain detailed production logs, including records of output, downtime, and any quality control issues.
• Generate regular reports on production performance, including key metrics like output, downtime, labor efficiency, and quality.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Problem Solving:
• Troubleshoot production problems quickly and effectively, minimizing downtime and disruptions to the production schedule.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any production challenges related to machine maintenance, supply chain, or staffing.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
