Job Title: Factory Manager – Rubber Compounding Location: Bidadi, Bangalore Reports To: Director / Production Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Factory Manager to oversee the operations of our rubber compounding facility. The successful candidate will manage billing, factory documentation, employee attendance, and daily operations to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant production processes. This role is critical in maintaining operational flow and supporting the overall growth of the manufacturing unit. Key Responsibilities: 1. Billing & Financial Administration Prepare and process job work invoices and internal/external billing related to rubber compounding activities. Coordinate with accounts for GST compliance and timely payments to vendors and service providers. Maintain cost records and assist in budget tracking and reporting. 2. Documentation & Compliance Maintain up-to-date records of batch production, raw material usage, quality control, MSDS, and process parameters. Ensure documentation meets ISO, environmental, and industry-specific regulatory standards. Maintain internal SOPs, calibration records, and safety documentation. Maintain Stock Statements for all customers. 3. Attendance & Staff Management Monitor employee attendance and maintain accurate shift rosters. Coordinate with HR for leaves, payroll inputs, and disciplinary procedures. Supervise production workers, technicians, and support staff to ensure adherence to schedules and performance standards. 4. Production Oversight Supervise daily rubber compounding activities including mixing, weighing, and batching. Ensure machines and equipment are operated and maintained per standard procedures. Monitor quality checks and troubleshoot production issues in coordination with QC/QA teams. 5. Inventory & Raw Material Management Track consumption and stock of raw materials such as natural rubber, synthetic rubber, fillers, oils, and additives. Coordinate with the purchase team for timely procurement. Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and stockouts. 6. Safety, Maintenance & Housekeeping Enforce strict health and safety protocols, especially related to handling chemicals and operating mixers/rollers. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and utilities. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the factory floor and storage areas. 7. Vendor & External Coordination Liaise with transporters, job work partners, and raw material suppliers. Assist in handling third-party audits, customer visits, and statutory inspections. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Chemical or Polymer Engineering, or related field. 1-2 years of supervisory experience any manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of rubber processing equipment (e.g., kneaders, mixers, calendaring machines). Proficient in MS Office. Working Conditions: Based at the manufacturing facility with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial materials. May require occasional overtime and weekend availability.
