Factory Manager

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Management

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per demand.
• Ensure optimal utilization of raw materials, manpower, and machinery.
• Monitor feed formulation, batching, and pelletizing to maintain consistency and quality.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of raw materials.

2. Quality Control & Assurance

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures at all stages of production.
• Ensure that finished feed meets nutritional and quality standards as per BIS or company norms.
• Liaise with the quality department for sampling, testing, and process improvement.

3. Maintenance & Equipment Management

• Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of all plant machinery (grinders, pellet mills, conveyors, boilers, etc.).
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime.
• Ensure safe operation and upkeep of utilities (boiler, compressors, electrical systems).

4. Manpower & Administration

• Supervise and manage plant staff including operators, supervisors, maintenance, and support teams.
• Ensure discipline, attendance, and adherence to company policies.
• Conduct skill development and safety training for employees.

5. Cost & Inventory Control

• Monitor and control production costs, wastage, and utility consumption.
• Maintain optimum stock levels of raw materials, packing materials, and spares.
• Prepare production and consumption reports for management review.

6. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to all statutory and environmental regulations.
• Implement health and safety standards across the plant.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.

7. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Quality, and Accounts departments.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports to management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Food/Feed Technology; or Diploma with strong experience.
• Experience: 8–15 years of experience in production or plant management, preferably in animal feed / cattle feed / poultry feed / agro-based industry.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management
• Knowledge of feed formulation and process flow
• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Familiar with ERP / SAP-based production systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
