Job Description

Tea Industry Export Manager – Key Responsibilities 1. Sales Strategy Development o Analyse international customer trends and design sales plans to meet their needs. o Plan, develop, and implement various sales activities based on research of customer requirements. 2. Market Expansion o Identify new business opportunities and potential customers in different countries. o Explore opportunities to enter and grow in diverse international markets. 3. Operational Efficiency o Ensure sales and marketing activities are conducted within agreed budgets, volumes, and timeframes. o Develop solutions to overcome obstacles that may slow down or hinder export procedures. 4. Client & Distributor Relations o Manage orders, deliveries, and payments with international and domestic clients. o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping companies, and customs officials. o Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers for maximum profitability. o Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, agents, and distributors to sustain international sales growth. 5. Cultural & Market Knowledge o Develop a deep understanding of the cultural, business, and political environments in target countries. o Gain insights into consumer tastes and preferences for effective product positioning. 6. Performance Monitoring o Continuously review distributor performance and provide relevant insights to management 7. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation & Record-Keeping o Ensure adherence to international trade laws and regulations. o Work with customs agents for goods clearance and manage duties and taxes. o Maintain accurate records of all export transactions and update company databases. 8. Quality Assurance o Maintain high standards for tea products and ensure compliance with certifications required for export. 9. Problem Resolution o Address disputes such as late shipments, damaged goods, and incorrect paperwork. o Proactively resolve problems such as delayed shipments or complications in export processes. Desired Qualifications 1. Core Expertise o Proven track record in Strategic Planning, International Trade Development, Business Unit Development, Logistics, Procurement, and Pricing Strategies. o Extensive experience with Export-Import Functions. 2. Brand Development o Successfully launched Indian brands in international markets. o Expertise in distributor management and distributor appointments. 3. Market Expansion o Demonstrated capability in entering new geographies and expanding market presence. 4. Organizational Skills o Highly organized and system-driven professional. o Exceptional ability to manage processes efficiently. 5. P&L Management o Solid experience in managing Profit and Loss (P&L) for sales operations. 6. Leadership & Problem-Solving o Strong decision-making and leadership skills to oversee and optimize sales functions globally. o Train and guide team members on export processes and compliance regulations. 7. Qualification o MBA / PGD Preferred in ( International business/Sales & Marketing/ Export & Import) o Any additional course/ certification programme in Export/ Import from renowned institutions 8.
