Job Description – Export Executive

Position Title: Export Executive.

Company: Omnex International Trade PLC.

Experience Required: Minimum 3 Years in Export Operations / International Trade (Agriculture/Fruit & Vegetable sector preferred).

Location: CBD-BELAPUR.

Key Responsibilities:

• Export Operations & Documentation
• Manage end-to-end export process for fresh fruits & vegetables (FFV) consignments.
• Ensure timely preparation & verification of shipping documents: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate, Fumigation Certificate, Health Certificate, Radiation Free Certificate, Agmark, Organic & other compliance documents.
• Liaise with CHA (Customs House Agents), shipping lines, airlines, and freight forwarders for smooth logistics.
• Ensure compliance with DGFT, FSSAI, APEDA, Plant Quarantine, Customs, and Port regulations.
• International Trade Compliance
• Stay updated with international trade laws, food safety standards, and import regulations in Middle East, Europe, and Asian markets.
• Manage CIF, FOB, CNF contracts and ensure correct calculation of insurance & freight.
• Handle export incentives (RoDTEP, MEIS, DBK, etc.) and ensure correct claim submissions.
• Market Development & Client Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international buyers, importers, and distributors.
• Coordinate with clients for shipment schedules, product specifications, and compliance requirements.
• Resolve customer queries, complaints, and claims effectively.
• Participate in trade fairs/exhibitions (e.g., Gulfood, Fruit Logistica) to explore new business opportunities.
• Quality Assurance & Supply Chain
• Coordinate with packhouses, cold storages, and suppliers to ensure quality & grading standards.
• Monitor packaging, labelling, and branding compliance as per buyer requirements.
• Ensure cold chain maintenance from sourcing to destination.

• Team & Vendor Coordination
• Supervise and mentor junior export staff for smooth operations.
• Negotiate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and insurance companies for best rates.
• Coordinate with finance team for LC (Letter of Credit), bank documentation, and payment follow-ups.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs clearance, and international trade terms (INCOTERMS).
• Expertise in handling fresh produce exports (perishable goods, cold chain logistics, shelf-life management).
• Excellent networking with buyers, freight forwarders, and certification agencies.
• Knowledge of APEDA guidelines, food safety certifications (GLOBALG.A.P, HACCP, ISO, Organic, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and export-related software (ICEGATE, DGFT, ECGC portals, etc.).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Educational Qualifications:

• Graduate/Post-Graduate in International Business, Agriculture, Food Technology, or Supply Chain Management.
• Professional certifications in Export-Import Management / International Trade will be an added advantage.

• Reduction in logistics costs & improved freight negotiations.
• Growth in international client base and repeat orders.
• Compliance with all statutory and buyer-specific requirements.
• Zero rejection/claim due to documentation or quality issues.
