experienced and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper


Role Overview

As Executive Housekeeper, you will build and oversee the full housekeeping operation from the ground up — establishing processes, recruiting and training talent, and ensuring each room, suite, spa zone, and public space reflects the quiet elegance of Nimaya. You’ll blend operational mastery with emotional intelligence to create a housekeeping culture that is as efficient as it is heartfelt.



Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Strategy & Brand Stewardship

  • Define and implement the housekeeping vision for all areas: guest rooms, villa clusters, spa & wellness spaces, public zones, back-of-house, and event venues.
  • Ensure visual and sensory alignment with Nimaya’s brand values of balance, sincerity, presence, and consideration through every touchpoint — from linen selection to room aromas.


Pre-Opening & Infrastructure Readiness

  • Oversee fit-out reviews of FF&E, OS&E for rooms and housekeeping pantries.
  • Commission laundry operations (in-house and outsourced), housekeeping stores, trolleys, and supply chains.
  • Lead material selection for eco-friendly amenities, sustainable cleaning products, and linen suppliers.


Team Leadership & Training

  • Build and mentor a housekeeping team aligned with luxury service standards and guest-centric values.
  • Develop training modules focused on attention to detail, cultural sensitivity, sustainable housekeeping, and wellness-led guest experience.
  • Ensure 24/7 readiness with clear SOPs for arrivals, turndown service, express cleaning, in-room spa setups, and post-event turnover.


Process Excellence & Budget Control

  • Design and execute cleaning schedules, deep-cleaning rotations, linen usage tracking, and laundry performance metrics.
  • Implement inventory controls, budget planning, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization without compromising on luxury.
  • Maintain compliance with hygiene, health, and sustainability benchmarks (ISO/FSSAI/MSDS where applicable).


Guest Experience & Collaboration

  • Partner with Front Office, Engineering, Spa, and F&B teams to ensure seamless guest room readiness and special requests.
  • Design room readiness for wellness-focused guests, long-stay guests, and wedding parties (bridal prep, gifting, etc.).
  • Respond to guest feedback with prompt grace and create procedures for elevated in-room experiences (e.g., scent rituals, pillow menu integration, bath rituals).


Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years in progressive housekeeping roles, with at least 3 years as Executive or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in premium resorts or wellness retreats.
  • Proven ability to scale teams, set up operations, and lead within a pre-opening context.
  • Expertise in luxury service protocols, sustainable housekeeping innovations, and multi-room category management.
  • Familiarity with PMS/housekeeping software and inventory tracking tools.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent certification preferred.
