About The Role
We are looking for a high-energy Event Manager to lead planning, execution, and partnerships for our growing portfolio of sports events across India. From concept to closing ceremony, you’ll own the full lifecycle of events — ensuring every tournament, launch, and activation delivers a world-class experience.This role demands creativity, hustle, and strong relationship management skills — ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, loves networking, and knows how to make things happen.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute end-to-end events — from city tournaments to national leagues and corporate activations.
- Own event operations including budgeting, vendor management, logistics, scheduling, and staffing.
- Ensure seamless on-ground execution aligned with brand standards and customer experience goals.
Partnerships & Sponsorships
- Identify, pitch, and convert sponsorship opportunities with brands, corporates, and partners.
- Manage sponsor relations pre, during, and post events — ensuring all deliverables are executed perfectly.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to create high-impact brand integrations.
Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with venue partners, city managers, vendors, and brand collaborators.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure cross-functional alignment (marketing, operations, design, finance).
- Act as the single point of contact for all event stakeholders.
Problem Solving & Ownership
- Anticipate challenges and create contingency plans to ensure zero disruptions.
- Drive quick decision-making on-ground — from last-minute logistics to sponsor requirements.
- Own results end-to-end: attendance, experience, profitability, and partnerships.
Business & Growth
- Analyze post-event performance to optimize ROI and participant satisfaction.
- Scale up existing formats (Pi Play Padel Series, Corporate Challenges, etc.) into larger recurring properties.
- Ideate and execute innovative sports activations to grow the Pi Play community.
Who You Are
- 4–7 years of experience in event management, partnerships, or brand activations, preferably in sports, entertainment, or startups.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills — can convert sponsors and close deals.
- Excellent project management and multitasking ability with a “get-it-done” mindset.
- Creative problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and execution discipline.
- Startup mindset — thrives under pressure, adapts fast, and works like an owner.
- Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, presentations, and event tracking tools.
