Qualification (specify Experience)
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Public Health, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Hospital Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, healthcare impact, or hospital compliance.
- Familiarity with BRSR (Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting), SDGs, CSR frameworks, and healthcare regulations.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management abilities. Desirable Attributes: 1) Experience in healthcare or hospital settings. 2) Certification in ESG, sustainability reporting, or social impact measurement. 3) Ability to work cross-functionally across clinical and non-clinical departments.

Key Result Areas
- The ESG & Impact Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the hospital’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, and aligning it with national and international healthcare sustainability standards. This role ensures that NU Hospitals operate responsibly, ethically, and transparently, while also measuring and reporting its impact on community health and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Environmental Stewardship
Monitor and reduce the hospital’s carbon footprint, energy usage, water consumption, biomedical waste, and overall environmental impact.
Drive initiatives around green procurement, sustainable infrastructure, and renewable energy adoption. Work with Facilities and Operations to improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental risks.
Design and oversee community health outreach programs and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Promote gender equity, diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being Collaborate with HR to ensure fair labor practices, workplace safety, and training on social compliance standards.
Develop ESG policies, procedures, and reporting systems in line with SEBI BRSR, NABH, and other healthcare-related frameworks.
Monitor compliance with applicable laws, including labor laws, environmental regulations, and ethical clinical practices. Liaise with legal and compliance teams for ESG-related disclosures, audits, and risk management.
- Reporting & Impact Measurement
Prepare ESG reports, sustainability dashboards, and internal reviews for leadership and external stakeholders.
Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure impact—environmental savings, community benefit, and ethical operations. Ensure timely filing of ESG/BRSR data and support the hospital’s ranking in sustainability indices or healthcare excellence listings.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Capacity Building
Conduct training and awareness sessions for staff and departments on ESG principles.
Engage with vendors, partners, and community leaders to promote responsible and inclusive practices.
