What this job involves:
As an Engineering Manager at JLL, you'll drive facility management excellence through strategic engineering planning and management while ensuring optimal functionality and stability across our client's portfolio. This leadership role requires you to oversee engineering teams, manage critical environment equipment, and implement risk mitigation plans that comply with client procedures and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with facilities managers to maintain high-quality operations, review preventive maintenance programs, and ensure service standards align with regional procedures. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on operational excellence through your technical expertise, leadership skills, and ability to deliver innovative solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment. By joining our collaborative team, you'll contribute directly to JLL's mission of shaping the future of real estate while leading engineering initiatives that drive client satisfaction and cost optimization across multiple sites. What your day-to-day will look like:
Provide engineering planning and management guidance to facility management teams while ensuring efficient response to all engineering challenges and compliance with regulatory and client policies Monitor and evaluate all critical environment equipment across the account's sites while ensuring risk mitigation plans are in place and aligned with client risk appetite Review planned preventive maintenance programs and ensure service standards are maintained and aligned with regional operations procedures Manage risk assessment processes including major M&E equipment risks, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity implementation while ensuring accurate information uploads and audit compliance Oversee project review, execution, and documentation while tracking engineering portions of project proposals and participating in technical aspects of bidding processes Manage engineering-related staff training and ensure compliance with necessary licenses and certifications while maintaining quality of management reports Collaborate with regional engineering director to deliver consistent results on tight timelines while maintaining high standards of facilities operations. Required Qualifications:
University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering management or facilities engineering field Strong client satisfaction focus with proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide cost-saving solutions Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage engineering teams and boost staff satisfaction and morale Strong grasp of M&E systems, critical environment equipment, and preventive maintenance programs Experience with risk management, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity implementation Excellent command of multiple languages with strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in engineering field (PE, FMP, CFM, or related certifications) Experience managing engineering operations across multiple sites or client portfolios Background in project management and technical bidding processes Knowledge of regional operations procedures and compliance requirements Experience with quality assurance processes for M&E systems Proactive leadership style with ability to think laterally and deliver innovative solutions Background in implementing improvement plans and tracking review reports.
