Enforcement Operations Engineer

Purpose/Objective

The Enforcement Operation Engineer is responsible for detecting and addressing theft cases related to tampered meters, unmetered supply, and unauthorized connections. This role is essential for reducing commercial and technical losses of electricity and ensuring the integrity and safety of the network. The role involves conducting raids, analysing data, and coordinating with various departments to resolve issues and mitigate losses.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Enforcement Operations Engineer Theft Detection and Enforcement: Execute raids to identify and address theft cases involving tampered meters and unmetered supply, contributing to the reduction of commercial and technical losses. Conduct mass slum raids, working with local police to remove unauthorized connections and prevent network overload. Inspect meter cabins for unauthorized and unmetered supply, and support the regularization of these supplies through project meters. Data Management and Analysis: Download and analyse MRI data to identify theft and loss trends, supporting the detection and resolution of issues. Review data related to overdue PDC customers, identify areas with maximum arrears, and take necessary actions such as booking cases for unmetered supply and registering FIRs. Use data analytics to support loss mitigation strategies and monitor theft-prone clusters. Day to day update of all site related activities in Mobile App. Complaint Resolution: Handle and resolve complaints related to unauthorized connections and theft, ensuring effective resolutions and closure of complaints in the system. Support the resolution of cases in Lok Adalat by ensuring FIRs are processed and dues are collected. Safety and Training: Ensure adherence to safety practices and proper use of PPE during raids and inspections through pep-talks Participate in and assist with safety awareness sessions and medical first aid training for team members. Operational Coordination: Coordinate with the new connection/service department to resolve issues and facilitate new connections in theft-prone areas. Collaborate with zonal teams to address unauthorized supplies and support their regularization. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of enforcement activities, including reports on theft detection and loss mitigation. Document and report on the outcomes of raids, FIRs, and other enforcement actions. Deploy MSF guards, Police staff with teams during raids and maintain the report. Loss Mitigation: Implement loss mitigation strategies, including the installation of TPP & TAB devices in theft-prone clusters to reduce commercial losses and realize vigilance debits. Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering Work Experience (Range of years): 1-4 years Preferred Industry: Experience in enforcement operations, loss mitigation, or related areas.
