Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Summary of the position

This person will be responsible for electrical& Instrumentation Maintenance and operations for entire plant. S/he is responsible for ensuring quality performance, which includes cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for utility. This role will also include achieving unit performance for uptime, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness, and Utilities maintenance.

Role and Responsibilities

Electrical maintenance Operations:

• Troubleshoots Plant electrical & instrument related problems. Determine their cause and recommends options for eliminating such problems BY RBC (Restore basic condition) & Improvement with sustainable systematic way.
• Erection & commissioning & Troubleshooting the instrument like level transmitter, VFD, flow meter, pressure transmitter & switches.
• Erection & commissioning & Troubleshooting the PLC (Programmable logic Control) & MCC (motor control center)
• Preventive maintenance of critical electrical equipment and corrective actions to avoid breakdown such as VCB, ACB, Transformer, HT, LT Panels, earthing circuits, packaging machines.
• Planning for resources and manpower for planned shutdown of the plant.
• Power consumption reduction by monitoring on daily basis & control within the standard consumption.
• Material procurement through SAP and maintaining minimum spares for attending breakdown and reducing breakdown time.
• FSMS (Food Safety Management System) documentation & Conducting External electrical audits, Safety audit and ensuring the compliance of audit.

Cost Optimization:

• Assist in preparing & delivering Electrical & Instrumentation annual Budget
• Execute troubleshooting and guidance to team members for problem solving and preventing maintenance related problems
• Optimize maintenance costs and equipment performance, by maintaining the annual budgets and SOP’s
• Controlling the (Repair &Maintenance) through development of local vendors by reducing spares procurement cost.
• Execution and delivery of Projects within stipulated time and cost.

Safety and team Building:

• Driving LOTO system across plant
• Insuring adherence to permit system for various types of work across plant.
• Creating safety awareness & conducting training for permanent & contract workforce.
• Carryout risk analysis for unsafe conditions & rectify the same.
• Implementation of internal/external audits non conformance
• Responsible for maintaining upkeep of smoke detectors, fire alarm, fire hydrant etc.
• Carry out accident investigation & preparing AI (Accidental Investigation) reports.
• Capable of guiding/leading the electrical maintenance team and implementing the best maintenance strategy for the plant.

Qualification and Skill Set

• Graduate in engineering (Electrical & Instrumentation)
• 6-8 years with at least 2 years in the Alco/Bev and Beverage industry.
• Knowledge of Brewing, Utility and packaging machines.
• Must have hands-on experience of SAP & MS office
• Analytical ability to facilitate decision making
