Reporting To:

Plant Head / HR ManagerOur client is one of the leading manufacturers of customized tubular sections (shaped tubes) and profiles in India. With over 40 years of experience in shaping sheet metal and growing business opportunities across the country, the decades-old standard ERW steel tube and simple roll-formed profile manufacturing facility has evolved to manufacture customized steel tubes.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably in
Engineering / Automobile / Heavy Fabrication industry.
  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma with specialization in Industrial Safety (recognized
under the Factories Act).
  • Certifications (Preferred any one): From recognized institutes such as RLI, CLI, IIISM, or Rajiv
Gandhi Institute.
  • Languages: Candidate should be from Karnataka and Fluency in Kannada and Hindi is mandatory; knowledge of English will be an added advantage.
  • Stability: Minimum 3 years in the same organization (frequent job changes will not be considered)

  • Strong knowledge of EHS legal compliance and documentation.
  • Proficiency in conducting safety audits, training, and incident analysis.
  • Good communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to handle external agency interactions and internal compliance reviews.

Job Summary

The EHS Officer/Executive will be responsible for implementing and maintainingEnvironment, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems, policies, and practices across themanufacturing plant. The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory regulations suchas the Factories Act and Pollution Control Board (PCB) guidelines, driving continuousimprovement in safety standards, and promoting a culture of safety and environmentalresponsibility among employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and standards across all
plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including Factories Act,
PCB norms, and other applicable safety and environmental laws.
  • Conduct periodic safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analysis, and recommend
corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions to
prevent recurrence.
  • Organize and conduct EHS training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for
all levels of employees and contract workers.
  • Liaise effectively with Pollution Control Board (PCB), Factories Department, and other
government authorities for inspections, renewals, and statutory compliances.
  • Maintain and update EHS records, permits, and licenses as per legal and corporate
requirements.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present EHS reports, performance dashboards, and compliance
documentation to management on a regular basis.
  • Drive initiatives for waste management, energy conservation, pollution control, and
other sustainability programs.
  • Foster and promote a proactive safety-first culture throughout the organization.
