EDI Analyst (OpenText)

100% remote in India

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled EDI Analyst with experience in OpenText to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage end‑to‑end electronic data interchange processes, including onboarding trading partners, mapping, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring data consistency. This role will collaborate across technical, operations, and vendor teams to maintain seamless integration of business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily EDI transactions using OpenText (e.g. OpenText BizManager, GXS, OpenText BizLink, OpenText Mapper)
• Onboard new trading partners: gather requirements (MIGs, partner specs, communication protocols, certificate exchanges), set up VAN (Value Added Network), AS2/FTP/SFTP etc.
• Develop, maintain, and update EDI maps and data transformations; convert EDI formats to/from internal formats (flat files, XML, CSV, IDOCs etc.)
• Handle production support: identify, analyze, and resolve EDI transaction failures, acknowledgments, data mismatches etc.
• Test EDI transactions with both internal stakeholders and trading partners; coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for new or changed transaction sets
• Ensure compliance with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT etc.) and internal data quality rules
• Document EDI processes, mapping specifications, and partner integration guides
• Collaborate with ERP/integration/IT teams to ensure smooth flow of data and that EDI interfaces align with internal systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Provide status reports to management about EDI performance, escalations, recurring errors, mapping changes etc.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience working with

  OpenText EDI platform(s)

  (BizManager, GXS/Migration, Mapper etc.)
• Strong understanding of EDI standards: ANSI X12, EDIFACT, transaction sets (850, 810, 856, 855, 997 etc.)
• Experience with communication protocols like AS2, FTP/SFTP, VAN, etc.
• Ability to create and maintain mappings/data transformations; experience converting between EDI formats and non‑EDI formats
• Experience in production support and troubleshooting EDI transactions
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and how EDI interfaces feed into them
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to parse technical documents (MIGs, partner specifications)

Nice to Have

• Experience with SQL / relational databases to query data for validation and troubleshooting
• Prior experience onboarding and managing large trading partners in global supply chain / retail / logistics or healthcare environment
• Understanding of O2C (order to cash), P2P (purchase to pay) processes
• Experience with version control / change management for mapping & EDI configuration
• Good communication skills for vendor/trading partner coordination
