Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Fashion Designer Trainee to join our creative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring fashion designer to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the design process, from concept development to production. The trainee will work closely with senior designers, learning industry best practices and contributing to upcoming collections. Key Responsibilities: Assist senior designers with trend research, mood board creation, and fabric sourcing. Support in sketching, technical drawing, and garment specification development. Help prepare design presentations and sample approvals. Organize and maintain design archives, fabric swatches, and trims. Collaborate with the production team to ensure design integrity throughout manufacturing. Learn and apply knowledge of different garment constructions and textile properties. Undertake administrative tasks as required by the design department. Stay updated on fashion trends, industry innovations, and competitor activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field (or currently pursuing). Basic understanding of design principles, garment construction, and textiles. Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus. Strong sketching and drawing abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Highly organized with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A strong passion for fashion and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
