Senior Director – Salesforce Engineering
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep Salesforce expertise, proven people leadership experience, and the ability to operate confidently in complex client and executive environments.
ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Architecture
- Provide overall technical leadership for a
40–60 member Salesforce technical team
across multiple concurrent projects. - Actively participate in client technical discussions, solution design workshops, and architecture reviews.
- Create, review, and approve technical architecture documents, solution designs, and integration strategies.
- Lead an Architecture Governance Forum to ensure consistency, scalability, security, and Salesforce best practices across a portfolio of projects.
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex technical challenges, including hands-on troubleshooting and code-level guidance when required.
- Define, implement, and enforce Salesforce development standards, coding guidelines, and architectural principles.
Delivery & Governance
- Provide technical governance across multiple Salesforce programs to ensure high-quality, predictable delivery.
- Partner with Delivery, PMO, and Client Leadership teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Support
RFP and proposal responses
, including solution architecture, effort estimation, and technical narratives. - Will take on billable responsibilities on Client projects.
People Management & Talent Development
- Directly manage and mentor
senior architects, technical leads, and engineering managers
. - Own
hiring, onboarding, and development
of Salesforce technical talent. - Build and execute career paths, coaching plans, and succession strategies for technical team members.
- Drive performance management, skill development, Salesforce certifications, and technical excellence initiatives.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to
US-based clients
, requiring participation in evening or night calls/meetings
. - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Presales, and Executive Leadership teams to support growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of overall industry experience
, primarily with mid-sized consulting organizations
, with some exposure to large consulting environments.- Proven experience managing teams of 25+ people; experience managing 40–60 people is strongly preferred.
- Strong
hands-on Salesforce development experience
, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, Agentic Development and Platform architecture. Salesforce Architect Certification
(Application Architect, System Architect, or higher) – mandatory
. - Demonstrated experience designing and governing
enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions
. - Experience working with
US-based clients
and distributed/global delivery teams. - Excellent written and verbal
communication and interpersonal skills
