What You Will Be Doing
- Maintaining and applying comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic decisions
- Creating technical specifications that resolve critical technical decisions and emphasize simplicity, efficiency, and sustainable scalability
- Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, supporting the strategic objective of minimizing manual effort

- Pure people management; this position relies primarily on your business insight and technical judgment
- Spending time in meetings, committees, or administrative overhead; we have automated management tasks so you can concentrate on delivering business value through direct contributions
- High-level strategy without actionable implementation guidance; your recommendations must derive from product-level analysis
Director Of Product Architecture Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning foundational competencies and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership
Basic Requirements
- Deep experience or genuine interest in data-driven learning science
- 7+ years of experience making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture design patterns or major open source technologies
- 2+ years of experience making design decisions that involve cloud computing services (primarily AWS)
- 4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery ownership over a revenue-generating product
- Experience developing product features that make advanced use of Generative AI
- Experience applying Generative AI to streamline work processes

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
