DevOps Specialist

The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and optimizing our cloud environments. They will work closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to streamline and automate our processes, ensuring scalable and reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps to automate the software build, test, and deployment processes.

• Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Automate provisioning and scaling of cloud infrastructure on platforms like Google Cloud / Azure.

• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.

• Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes to manage microservices architecture.

• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Ensure security and compliance in infrastructure and deployment processes by implementing best practices, including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and access controls.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack or equivalent.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or related role.

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps. (Mandatory)

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud/Azure and cloud-native services.

• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.

• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Shell).

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).

• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer, or Google Professional DevOps Engineer.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Familiarity with database management (SQL).

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in Agile environments.

• Experience with serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
