About The Role

Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture (AWS)

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using AWS: VPC, Route53, CloudFront, S3, EKS, EC2, ALB/ELB, Lambda, RDS, Elasticache, API Gateway, Kinesis Streams, ClickHouse.
• Manage multi-tenant SaaS architecture for millions of active users.
• Scale real-time event tracking and analytics pipelines.
  

DevOps & Automation

• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Build automated deployment pipelines for browser extensions, backend services, microservices, and UI applications.
• Implement IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Build and manage Docker images.
  

Monitoring, Security & Reliability

• Establish full-stack observability (metrics, logs, traces, alerts).
• Implement cloud and network security best practices.
• Ensure HA, disaster recovery, backups, and auto-scaling.
• Lead security hardening: CVE remediation, container & dependency security.
  

On-Prem Deployments

• Build and maintain on-prem deployments mirroring cloud SaaS architecture.
• Collaborate with enterprise clients for customized on-prem installs.
• Automate installation, upgrades, and maintenance using scripts/tools.
  

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to ensure smooth releases.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers.
• Participate in architectural decisions and DevOps strategy.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Strict requirement).
  

Core Expertise

• 5+ years of DevOps experience with at least 3 years in a senior/lead role.
• Strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud architecture.
• Proficiency in:
• VPC, EKS, EC2, RDS, Elasticache
• S3, CloudFront, Route53
• API Gateway, Lambda, Kinesis
• Docker, Helm, ClickHouse
• Strong CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
• Strong Terraform experience (mandatory).
  

Programming / Scripting

• Python, Shell, NodeJS (strong scripting required).
• Development experience is a plus.
  

Scalability & Performance

• Experience scaling distributed systems for millions of users.
• Deep knowledge of caching, load balancing, and event-driven architectures.
  

On-Prem Deployment Experience

• Strong background building SaaS-to-on-prem replicas.
• Experience with automated deployments in both containerized & non-containerized environments.
  

Other Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• High ownership mindset and ability to run DevOps end-to-end.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with DAPs or browser-based products.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog.
• Exposure to SOC2 / ISO-compliant environments.
