Job Description

You're a DevOps engineer who doesn't settle for merely maintaining uptime—you architect systems that eliminate outages before they occur. If you thrive on dissecting convoluted legacy infrastructure, engineering leaner systems, and automating every manual process you find, this opportunity is for you. We need a DevOps and AWS infrastructure specialist who excels in demanding environments where 99.9% availability is the baseline. Your work will span a portfolio of acquired products, each with distinct characteristics, as you migrate them into a unified, scalable AWS architecture while implementing monitoring and automation that keeps incidents uncommon. Most organizations ask you to support a single technology stack. We're asking you to unify and refine multiple stacks without causing disruption. Where others segregate databases, we take a different approach, strategically consolidating them to achieve cost efficiency and streamlined management across our portfolio. This position isn't suited for someone content with maintaining the status quo; it's designed for someone who encounters a disjointed, inconsistent environment and immediately begins architecting improvements. You'll take ownership of everything from infrastructure transitions to AI-powered automation, performance optimization, database migration, and cost reduction. This includes identifying and resolving existing issues, orchestrating smooth cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and using AI/ML-driven workflows to automate significant portions of your responsibilities. You'll hold genuine decision-making authority over infrastructure—no prolonged waiting for sign-offs from stakeholders who lack technical depth. If you're a self-directed problem-solver who excels at unraveling complicated systems and ensuring flawless operation, this role will be your ideal environment. If you require constant guidance, struggle with managing diverse technology stacks, or favor greenfield projects over creating structure from disorder, this isn't the right fit. If you're prepared to own a high-impact infrastructure position with opportunities to build, refine, and automate at scale, submit your application now!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Orchestrating and executing sophisticated infrastructure transformations, including migrations from legacy platforms to AWS cloud infrastructure and lift-and-shift transitions
  • Architecting and deploying monitoring strategies and creating automation for monitoring systems, software releases, and operational processes
  • Conducting system monitoring, system backups, incident management, database migrations, database configurations, and cost optimization

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Spending your days in Jira and never-ending status meetings - we prioritize people who deliver solutions, not just document issues
  • Keeping obsolete systems running indefinitely - you'll be authorized to implement substantial improvements
  • Waiting through bureaucratic approval processes - you'll possess the authority to deploy immediate fixes during incidents
  • Operating within restrictive technical silos - this position demands both comprehensive and deep technical knowledge
  • Justifying budget for essential improvements - we recognize the value of infrastructure investment

DevOps Architect Key Responsibilities

  • Drive reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our growing product portfolio by implementing robust monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.

Basic Requirements

  • Deep AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our primary platform - other cloud experience alone won't cut it)
  • Experience scripting with Python and Bash for day-to-day administration operations
  • Experience managing and migrating production databases with multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
  • Linux systems administration expertise
