Job Summary

We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented Design Process Engineer to join our Waste Water Treatment engineering team. The role involves complete process design activities for WTP, WWTP, and STP projects, including preparation of process documents, equipment sizing, technical specifications, and coordination with vendors. The candidate should have strong process fundamentals, hands-on design exposure, and working knowledge of membrane-based treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities

Process Design & Engineering

• Preparation of Mass Balance and Energy Balance for water and wastewater treatment projects
• Development and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Heat Flow Diagrams (HFDs), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Selection, sizing, and specification of pumps, including hydraulic and performance calculations
• Carrying out head loss calculations for pipelines and systems
• Equipment sizing for all major and minor process equipment
• Line sizing calculations and preparation of line sizing reports
• Valve sizing calculations as per process requirements
• Classification and selection of storage tanks based on process and statutory requirements

Documentation & Deliverables

• Preparation of equipment and instrument process data sheets
• Preparation of technical specifications for process equipment and systems
• Preparation of line lists and equipment lists
• Preparation of techno-commercial comparison (TCC) documents
• Review of vendor technical offers and coordination with suppliers for clarifications
• Reading, understanding, and interpreting tender documents, BOQs, and project scopes
• Support project execution teams with process-related clarifications

Technical Knowledge & Tools

• Hands-on knowledge of WTP, WWTP, and STP processes
• Working knowledge of membrane-based treatment technologies (UF, RO, MBR, etc.)
• Experience or exposure to membrane projection software
• Strong understanding of industry standards, design practices, and codes related to water and wastewater treatment

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering

  from a recognized institution

Software & Technical Skills

• Certified and proficient in AutoCAD

  (mandatory)
• Ability to prepare and interpret engineering drawings and design documents
• Good command over MS Excel and MS Word for calculations and documentation
