Job Type: Full Time Job Location: Chennai Experience: 4+ Years Qualification: B.E Mechanical Engineering We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, developing, and refining mechanical or product designs using CAD tools and simulation software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert ideas into practical, manufacturable designs that meet performance, quality, and cost targets.

:
– Design mechanical components, systems, or products using CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS. – Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings. – Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and simulations (FEA, CFD, etc.). – Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams to ensure design feasibility and efficiency. – Revise designs based on test results, customer feedback, or production issues. – Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations. – Maintain documentation and version control using PLM/PDM tools. – Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation projects.

– 3D CAD Modeling (SOLIDWORKS) – Engineering Drawing & Drafting – Product Design & Development – GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) – Simulation (FEA/CFD) – Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Design for Assembly (DFA) – BOM & Documentation Control – PLM/PDM Systems (e.g., SOLIDWORKS PDM, Windchill) – Material Selection & Cost Optimization – Communication & Collaboration Skills

Industrial skills:

– Exposure on design of Industrial machineries such as conveyors,jigs&fixtures,Product Handling Equipment design (SPM).

– Able to perform Engineering calculations for static and dynamic systems, life cycle calculations, Reverse Engineering.

– Experience on Design documentation such as DFM,DFMEA,DFA,POKA YOKE etc.

– Expertise on plastic product design, casting, structural design development are added advantage.

Drafting Skills:

– Expertise required on reading blueprints and to develop 3d models from the blueprints.

– Hands on experience on Manufacturing drawings development with GD&T and able to work on BOM, Weld symbols, Exporting drawings in dxf, dwg, etc.

– Exposure required on development of assembly drawings with appropriate views.

– Experience on Fabrication drawing development.

Auto cad skills:

– Exposure on commands, able to develop manufacturing drawings.

– Able to work on layers with layout setting.
