Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and manage

  3D models and 2D drawings

  using

  PTC Creo

  .
• Design and develop

  plastic components

  with considerations for DFM/DFA, material selection, draft analysis, and tooling feasibility.
• Design

  metal parts

  including sheet metal, machined, and fabricated components.
• Perform

  3D harness routing

  in Creo, including wire routing, bundle creation, continuity checks, and harness packaging.
• Ensure designs meet

  functional, structural, electrical, and aesthetic

  requirements.
• Conduct

  tolerance stack-up analysis

  and apply GD&T principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teamsmanufacturing, quality, procurement, and R&D—to ensure design feasibility.
• Participate in

  design reviews

  , incorporate feedback, and implement engineering changes.
• Prepare

  BOMs, engineering documents, ECNs, and design reports

  .
• Support

  prototype development, testing, and validation

  activities.
• Ensure design compliance with

  industry standards, safety norms, and company guidelines

  .

Required Skills & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in

  Mechanical Engineering

  or a related field.

• 1 to 4 years

  of experience in product design or mechanical design.
• Proficiency in

  PTC Creo

  (Part Modelling, Assembly, Drafting).
• Strong knowledge of

  plastic component design

  , injection moulding, and material behaviour.
• Hands-on experience in

  metal part design

  (sheet metal, machining, and fabrication).
• Practical experience in

  3D harness routing

  using Creo or similar tools.
• Good understanding of

  GD&T, DFM, DFA

  , and engineering best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret

  engineering drawings and technical specifications

  .
• Excellent

  problem-solving, analytical, and communication

  skills.
