Roles and responsibilities of Deputy Manager – Quality Department 1. Support the Quality Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) and customer specifications. 2. Oversee inspection activities for incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products; ensure inspections are performed accurately and in accordance with established standards. 3. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement; prepare and present detailed reports to management and stakeholders. 4. Lead investigations of non-conformances and quality issues; develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs) to mitigate recurrence and improve quality outcomes. 5. Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to address quality-related challenges, facilitate quality improvement initiatives, and ensure alignment on quality goals. 6. Ensure that all quality assurance activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies; actively participate in audits and assessments. 7. Mentor and guide junior quality staff, providing training on quality assurance methodologies and best practices; foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the team. 8. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to enhance product quality and optimize processes. 9. In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and software; expertise in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA). 10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable solutions. 11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical information to diverse audiences and fostering collaboration across functions. 12. Proven leadership capabilities, with experience in managing teams and driving quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment. 13. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment . 14. Motivate the team to raise kaizen and ensure it gets implemented and look for horizontal deployment. 15. In order to meet the monthly commitment should involve and render the best support in achieving the target. Should be willing to take any task assigned by the management. 16.
