Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    The Territory Manager - Retail & C&I is responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within a specific geographic region, focusing on both retail and commercial & industrial (C&I) segments. This role involves executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Territory Manager is also accountable for meeting sales targets, collaborating with channel partners, and providing support to the sales team to achieve overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Sales Strategy Execution: - Implement sales strategies and drive sales growth for both retail and C&I segments within the assigned territory. Align efforts with regional business objectives and company goals. Lead Generation and Business Development: - Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through direct sales efforts, networking, and marketing activities. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects within the territory. Account Management: - Manage key accounts by understanding customer needs, offering solutions, and ensuring timely delivery. Negotiate contracts and agreements, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes. Market Analysis: - Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Adjust sales strategies and tactics based on market intelligence to stay competitive and achieve sales targets. Sales Target Achievement: - Consistently meet or exceed sales targets for both retail and C&I channels. Track performance, identify gaps, and take corrective actions to ensure targets are achieved. Collaboration with Channel Partners: - Work closely with channel partners to optimize sales and ensure effective product distribution. Provide necessary training and support to enhance their sales capabilities. Sales Reporting: - Maintain accurate sales records, generate reports, and provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor insights. Key Stakeholders - Internal: - Territory Sales Team - Sales Operations Team - Marketing Team - Customer Service Team Key Stakeholders - External: - Retail and C&I Clients - Local Channel Partners - Contractors/Project Managers - Suppliers

Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualification: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus. Work Experience (Range of years): - Min 6-8 years in sales, with at least 2-3 years in a territory management role. Experience managing retail and C&I sales in the solar or related industry. Strong communication and customer relationship management skills. Certification:
