Job Description

The Dealer Development Manager will be responsible for identifying the right markets, appointing capable dealers, and ensuring their smooth functioning. Beyond appointments, the role also demands consistent engagement with dealers to improve their sales, profitability, and customer service standards. This is not just a network expansion role it is about building long-term relationships and ensuring Gravton Motors brand values are represented we'll at every customer touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealer Appointment Expansion

    • Identify new markets and shortlist potential partners through structured market studies.
    • Evaluate dealers based on financials, infrastructure, and operational capability before finalizing appointments.
    • Manage the complete appointment process, including business case preparation, approvals, and agreements.
  • Dealer Management

    • Act as the main point of contact for all dealers in your region.
    • Build and maintain strong dealer relationships while supporting profitable operations.
    • Conduct regular visits to review showroom performance, staff readiness, and compliance with Gravton standards.
  • Sales Profitability

    • Support dealers in achieving both retail and wholesale targets.
    • Monitor dealer ROI and suggest corrective measures where necessary.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to implement dealer-level campaigns and events.
  • Training Capability Building

    • Train dealer staff on Gravton products, processes, and customer service.
    • Conduct induction programs for new dealers and refresher workshops for existing ones.
  • Brand Compliance Customer Experience

    • Ensure dealers adhere to Gravton s standards in showroom infrastructure, branding, and customer handling.
    • Conduct periodic audits and provide guidance for improvements.
  • Market Insights

    • Monitor competitor activities and broader market trends.
    • Prepare periodic reports and share insights with senior management for decision-making.
    • Recommend updates to dealer policies or incentive programs based on ground-level realities.

Requirements:

  • Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration.
  • 4 10 years of experience in dealer development, channel sales, or network expansion (automobile/EV industry preferred).
  • Strong understanding of dealer management and channel development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to assess dealer viability and profitability.
  • High energy, self-driven, and willing to travel extensively.
  • Balanced, approachable, and capable of handling dealer discussions confidently.
