About the Team The Product & Component Operations - Business Intelligence (BI) team is part of Supply Chain Operations. We specialize in solving complex business problems using data, BI tools, and AI/ML techniques. Our mission is to drive insights, enable operational efficiency, and power transformation across the supply chain. About the Role Are you passionate about applying cutting-edge AI to transform how we operate? We are looking for a highly capable and forward-thinking Data Scientist who thrives on building intelligent solutions that transform supply chain operations. In this role, you will apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques—including LLMs (Large Language Models)—to develop intelligent systems, improve decision-making, and unlock value from our supply chain data. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex data problems, designing AI solutions, and contributing to large-scale transformation programs. As a Data Scientist, you will: * Partner with business units and supply chain stakeholders to understand their analytics needs and translate them into scalable AI solutions. * Design, develop, and implement intuitive models and AI solutions * Take the lead on supply chain transformation analytics—owning everything from doing POCs to solution deployment. * Collaborate with architects, business partners (GPOs, BU verticals), and IT to define use cases and design data-driven capabilities that deliver tangible business outcomes. What You’ll Do * Design, develop, and deploy ML/LLM-based solutions to address supply chain problems. * Lead experimentation and development of Generative AI and NLP tools to automate insights. * Lead end-to-end ML pipelines: data ingestion, preprocessing, model training, deployment (on Google Cloud Platform: Vertex AI, BigQuery), and performance monitoring. * Develop Generative AI applications and NLP models to automate insights, streamline operations, and enhance decision support. * Collaborate with BI developers to integrate model outputs into dashboards and self-service tools (Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot). * Partner with stakeholders to define use cases, success criteria, and business impact for AI initiatives. * Ensure model accuracy, fairness, interpretability, and alignment with responsible AI practices. * Cntribute to thought leadership, helping shape the AI/ML roadmap for supply chain transformation. What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in data science or applied machine learning roles, ideally within supply chain, operations, or manufacturing domains.
- Strong programming skills in Python (including pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and proficiency in SQL.
- Strong core software engineering skills, including system design, unit testing, REST API development (Fast API), version control with GitHub, and containerization with Docker.
- Hands-on experience with: Large Language Models (LLMs),Transformer architectures and fine-tuning this model to Domain specific needs.
- Generative AI models using frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, Lang Smith, Lang graph or OpenAI APIs, Llama index
- Experience in building LLM agents / multi-Agents and other advanced concepts such as Model context protocol (MCP) for sophisticated Gen AI solutions.
- Proven experience deploying ML/AI solutions on Cloud Platform. Preferred in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - using Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run and other GCP services
- Solid understanding of data engineering workflows, model lifecycle management, and MLOps.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau ) and their integration with ML outputs. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software engineering skills, real-time analytics, ML model APIs, Rest API development or serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
- Prior work in supply chain analytics or operational data science.
- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, ML Engineer) are a plus. ------------------------- Who You Are * Passionate about applying machine learning and AI to solve business problems. * Curious, resourceful, and always eager to explore new technologies and approaches. * Able to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. * Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. * A builder who brings both strategic thinking and technical execution. ------------------------- Who You’ll Work With You’ll be part of a collaborative and high-impact BI team within Supply Chain Operations.
