Data Governance Manager

Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate with Data Owners to identify Critical data elements for SAP master Data such as Supplier, Finance, and Bank master. - Develop and maintain a business-facing data glossary and data catalog for SAP master data, capturing data definitions, lineage, and usage. - Define and implement a data governance framework for relevant SAP Master Data to ensure data quality, management, and compliance. - Conduct data quality assessments and address data quality issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data governance practices into SAP business processes. - Manage data cataloging and lineage to provide visibility into data assets in the SAP environment. - Facilitate governance forums and change advisory boards to review data issues and standards. - Prepare data documentation including models, process flows, governance policies, and stewardship responsibilities. - Work with IT, data management teams, and business units to implement data governance best practices. - Monitor data governance activities, measure progress, and report key metrics to senior management. - Conduct training sessions and create awareness programs to promote data governance within the organization. - Demonstrate deep understanding of SAP master data structures and collaborate with pillar leads to ensure data policies are developed. - Report to Master Data GPO and work closely with internal team members, pillar leads, and key business leads for technical support. Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of experience in data-related disciplines, particularly in Data Governance, SAP master Data, and data quality in oil and gas or financial services domain. - Deep knowledge of SAP ERP and associated data structures. - Experience in implementing data governance in SAP environment for both transactional and master data. - Expertise in data governance concepts, data ownership, data lineage, data policies and controls, and data monitoring. - Leadership qualities to drive large transformational changes and influence senior stakeholders. - Soft skills including active listening, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, team management, stakeholder management, project management, domain knowledge (Procurement, Finance, Customer), critical thinking, and staying updated with industry trends in data management and analytics.
