Data Analytics Engineer

Job Title: Data Analytics Engineer – Vehicle Telemetry & AI/ML Applications Department: Engineering / Data Science / R&D Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analytics Engineer to work with large-scale vehicle telemetry data to drive engineering decisions and enhance customer experience. The role involves developing algorithms, data pipelines, and advanced analytics using AI/ML techniques and cloud-based tools for commercial vehicle performance evaluation and prognostics. Key Responsibilities:Apply various data analytics methods to extract actionable insights from vehicle telemetry datasets, including duty cycles and parametric data. Analyze large-scale data to support engineering development and decision-making. Develop and implement algorithms for vehicle performance estimation to be deployed on cloud platforms or in-vehicle controllers. Build robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data efficiently based on specific use cases. Design and implement innovative data reporting and visualization methodologies. Explore and integrate AI/ML tools to develop intelligent systems that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Define and apply machine learning/artificial intelligence techniques based on specific use cases. Identify and prioritize areas for advanced analytics applications. Evaluate data for false positives and determine probability metrics to support predictive modeling. Leverage cloud-based learning systems to improve vehicle intelligence. Contribute to prognostics development for commercial vehicles to anticipate failures and recommend preventive actions. Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow) Strong understanding of vehicle systems and telemetry data Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Familiarity with AI/ML algorithms, model training, and deployment Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate technical data into meaningful business insights Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) Preferred Attributes:Knowledge of commercial vehicle operations and performance metrics Exposure to prognostic algorithms or predictive maintenance systems Strong communication and collaboration skills Open mindset towards continuous learning and technology adoption
