1. Structured Coaching & Skill Development

• Plan and deliver

  age-appropriate coaching sessions

  for batting, bowling, fielding, and wicket-keeping.
• Develop

  weekly, monthly and annual coaching plans

  (nets, drills, match simulations, technical skills).
• Build core cricketing skills:

  timing, footwork, bowling variations, fielding agility, catching technique, game awareness

• Provide

  individualised coaching

  to promising players based on skill gaps and strengths.

2. Team Formation, Trials & Talent Identification

• Conduct fair, transparent, criteria-based

  team trials

  with documented evaluation sheets.
• Identify talent in various age groups:

  U-10, U-12, U-14, U-17

  .
• Form school cricket squads and maintain clear records of selections and student progress.
• Assess players through

  skill tests, fitness tests, match performance

  , and attitude during practice.

3. Match Preparation & Performance Enhancement

• Prepare teams for

  inter-house, inter-school, CBSE cluster, district and state tournaments

• Conduct

  match simulations, strategy sessions

  , and pre-match tactical planning.
• Analyse match videos/performance and conduct

  post-match debriefings

• Improve understanding of

  formats (T20, One-Day), field placements, bowling changes, partnerships

4. Fitness, Conditioning & Injury Prevention

• Create sport-specific fitness routines focusing on:
• Strength & conditioning
• Endurance & stamina
• Agility & speed
• Flexibility & coordination
• Conduct

  warm-up and cool-down

  routines to avoid injuries.
• Guide players on nutrition, hydration and rest.
• Work with the medical team for

  injury management and rehabilitation

5. Behavioural Discipline & Sportsmanship

• Instil values of

  sportsmanship, teamwork, respect for opponents and umpires

• Monitor student behaviour during practice, matches, travel and school duties.
• Ensure discipline, punctuality, appropriate attire and grooming.

6. Cricket Infrastructure & Equipment Management

• Maintain the

  pitch, nets, and practice areas

  in coordination with the ground staff.
• Ensure proper upkeep of equipment:
• Bats, balls, pads, helmets, gloves
• Cones, training aids, boundary markers
• Scorecards, kits
• Maintain

  stock registers

  and report damage or procurement needs.
• Ensure that

  practice areas are clean, safe and well-prepared

  before every session.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain:
• Attendance registers
• Coaching plans
• Player assessment sheets
• Tournament reports
• Match score sheets
• Progress reports for each squad
• Submit

  monthly cricket coaching reports

  to the sports coordinator/HOS.

8. Coordination & Event Support

• Coordinate with school authorities for:

• Sports Day arrangements

• Inter-house cricket events
• Scheduling practice timings
• Travel arrangements for tournaments
• Work with PE teachers, housemasters, and event teams for smooth execution.

9. Parent Communication & Student Guidance

• Provide constructive feedback to parents regarding:
• Player strengths
• Areas of improvement
• Behaviour and sportsmanship
• Injury updates
• Counsel students about

  balancing academics and sports

10. Professional Development & Innovation

• Stay updated on the latest cricket techniques, ICC/CBSE rules, and modern coaching methodologies.
• Attend

  workshops, referee/umpire certification courses, and coaching seminars
