Job Overview

This role involves leading credit evaluation, underwriting, risk assessment, and approval processes for EV 3-wheeler loans across India. The position requires strong analytical capabilities, portfolio management expertise, and an understanding of retail vehicle financing. The Credit Manager will ensure policy compliance, strengthen credit processes, and support business growth by maintaining a healthy and scalable credit portfolio.

Key Responsibilities1. Credit Evaluation & Underwriting

• Assess the creditworthiness of EV 3-wheeler loan applicants.
• Evaluate financials, repayment capacity, business models, and customer profiles.
• Conduct field visits for due diligence and gather insights for accurate credit decisions.
• Support development of lending products for first-time owners and fleet operators.

2. Risk Management

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks to maintain portfolio quality.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and ensure timely resolution.
• Improve credit risk models leveraging technology and partner/OEM insights.

3. Policy Implementation & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Recommend and implement policy/process improvements.
• Define program parameters across partner programs and product types.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with sales, operations, legal, and collections teams.
• Structure viable credit solutions based on customer and business requirements.
• Support seamless end-to-end loan operations.

5. Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting

• Track portfolio performance across locations and partner networks.
• Prepare reports on credit quality, delinquency, and risk indicators for management.
• Support new city rollouts, partner onboarding, and best practice implementation.

6. Team Development

• Train and mentor junior credit officers and operations staff.
• Conduct sessions on credit evaluation, risk management, and EV financing market insights.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field (mandatory).
• MBA/CA or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience:
• 5–8 years in credit underwriting or asset/vehicle finance.
• Experience in CV/3-wheeler financing is highly preferred.
• Experience in building credit processes from scratch is an added advantage.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and financial assessment skills.
• Excellent understanding of credit risk frameworks and underwriting.
• Good proficiency in MS Excel and financial modelling.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
