Key Responsibilities: Credit Assessment & Underwriting Evaluate loan applications by analyzing financial documents, bank statements, credit bureau reports, and other digital data points. Make informed credit decisions based on risk scoring, credit parameters, income stability, and repayment capacity. Implement and monitor credit policies, scorecards, and eligibility criteria. Risk Management & Fraud Control Identify high-risk profiles and potential fraud indicators using digital tools, customer patterns, and data analytics. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and company risk frameworks. Collaborate with risk and fraud teams to refine rules, thresholds, and risk models. Portfolio Monitoring & Performance Monitor portfolio quality, delinquency trends, NPA levels, and collection performance. Conduct periodic credit reviews and recommend corrective actions to improve credit health. Analyze data to identify gaps in credit processes and optimize decision-making. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead and train credit analysts/executives to maintain high accuracy and efficiency in underwriting. Coordinate with sales teams for clarifications, documentation, and customer onboarding support. Work closely with product and tech teams to enhance credit workflow and digital underwriting systems. Policy & Process Development Develop and refine credit policies, approval matrices, documentation requirements, and risk strategies. Support the implementation of automated underwriting tools and decision engines. Reporting & Documentation Prepare regular MIS reports on approvals, rejections, portfolio movement, and risk metrics. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure audit readiness at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field. 2–7 years of experience in credit underwriting/credit management in digital lending, fintech, NBFC, or BFSI . Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Hands-on experience with CIBIL/credit bureau analysis, bank statement analyzers, and digital underwriting tools. Knowledge of regulatory norms, KYC, PPI, and loan documentation. Proficiency in Excel and MIS reporting. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
