Credit Manager

Job Summary: The Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the credit and operational activities at the branch level. This role includes team supervision, documentation verification, field visits, client assessment, and maintaining portfolio quality. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the microfinance or credit sector and strong leadership and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: FunctionDescriptionBranch SupervisionEnsure smooth functioning of branch operations and adherence to company policies.Team ManagementLead, motivate, and guide the branch staff including field officers and executives.DocumentationVerify and maintain accurate client documentation and loan records as per compliance norms.Credit AssessmentAssess group loans and individual loan proposals, ensure creditworthiness checks.Field VisitRegularly visit field locations for client verification, group formation, loan recovery, and support.Portfolio QualityMonitor and control PAR (Portfolio At Risk), ensure timely repayments and reduce delinquencies.Training & SupportConduct on-job training and guidance to field staff to improve productivity and compliance.ReportingSubmit timely reports to higher authorities related to branch performance, disbursements, and collections. Eligibility Criteria: Education: Graduate in any discipline. Preferred Qualification: Post-Graduation or MBA in Finance/Microfinance or related fields. Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Microfinance or Credit Management. Experience in group lending models or joint liability groups (JLG) is preferred. Skills Required: Strong leadership and team management skills. Good knowledge of credit risk and documentation processes. Fieldwork orientation and ability to handle pressure. Proficiency in MS Office and regional language communication.
